Dr. Deepak S. Malhotra is a highly accomplished Neurosurgeon with over 15 years of experience in handling advanced neurological conditions. He is a member of the All Indian Surgeon’s Association and the Urological Society of India.

Dr. Malhotra graduated from Gujarat University in 1999, followed by completing his MS in 2001 and M.Ch in 2005. He also holds the prestigious ECFMG certification and completed a Fellowship in Uro-gynecology and Neuro-urology from Long Island Jewish Medical Center, New York. His expertise is highlighted by his distinction as the first and only neurosurgeon in Gujarat to perform specific bypass surgeries for Moyamoya disease, including the External Carotid Artery to Middle Cerebral Artery (EC-IC) and Superficial Temporal Artery to Middle Cerebral Artery bypass.

He is a pioneer in minimally invasive neurosurgeries in the region, having performed over 70 endoscopic third ventriculostomies, and other cutting-edge procedures such as endoscopic-assisted microvascular decompression for trigeminal neuralgia and Chiari malformation, using incisions as small as 25 mm. Dr. Malhotra also introduced posterior fixation using custom-made titanium screws and rods long before Indian-made implants were available.

In recognition of his expertise, Dr. Malhotra was appointed to a committee of distinguished neurosurgeons for establishing AIIMS-like centers in India under the Pradhan Mantri Swastha Seva Yojna scheme. He was also chosen by the Health Minister to draft a pilot project for the establishment of a dedicated neuroscience center.

Dr. Malhotra has co-authored numerous research publications in reputable journals, contributing to advancements in neurosurgery.
